Terms & Conditions.
The terms below govern your use of OneShot Legal. By using the service you agree to them in full. Please read carefully, particularly the section on legal advice.
01What this service is
OneShot Legal is a paid, AI-assisted contract information service. We help non-lawyers understand the contracts they are about to sign by producing a plain-English summary.
OneShot Legal is not a law firm. We do not provide regulated legal advice and we are not authorised to do so in any jurisdiction. No solicitor, attorney, or other legally qualified professional reviews your contract.
Your review is generated entirely by automated artificial intelligence. No human lawyer, solicitor, or attorney reviews your contract at any point. The AI analyses the text and produces a structured plain-English summary based on what it finds.
02Not legal advice
Nothing produced by OneShot Legal constitutes legal advice, legal opinion, or an attorney-client relationship. The analysis is for informational purposes only. You must not rely on it as a substitute for advice from a qualified legal professional. For any matter with legal, financial, or personal consequences, always consult a qualified legal professional.
03No liability
The analysis produced by this service is generated entirely by artificial intelligence and is provided for informational purposes only. Because the output is AI-generated and not reviewed or verified by any human, we accept no responsibility for its accuracy, completeness, or suitability for any purpose. You use the analysis entirely at your own risk.
To the extent that any liability is nonetheless found to exist, it is limited to the amount you paid for the specific review giving rise to that claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses.
04Payment and refunds
Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”), which acts as Merchant of Record for all transactions. When you purchase a review, you are buying from Paddle, not directly from OneShot Legal. Your bank or card statement will show a charge from Paddle.com. Paddle's buyer terms and conditions (available at paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms) apply to the payment transaction alongside these Terms.
The fee shown at checkout is the total fee for the review; we do not bill you again.
Right of withdrawal. When you click “Pay and get my review”, you consent to immediate delivery of a digital product. Under UK and EU consumer law (the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU), and under similar consumer protection legislation in your country, any right of withdrawal or cancellation does not apply once a digital service has been supplied with your prior express consent and acknowledgement that such right is lost. By completing payment, you give that consent and acknowledgement.
When we will refund you. We will issue a full refund in the following circumstances:
- No review delivered. Payment completed but you received no review — for example, a server outage or timeout during generation.
- Duplicate charge. You were charged more than once for the same submission.
- Unreadable document. You uploaded a valid PDF or DOCX but the review returned empty or clearly garbled output — not a review at all.
When we will not refund.Refunds are not available because you disagree with the AI's conclusions, because you later received legal advice that differs from the review, or because you changed your mind after receiving it. If your file was password-protected or image-only (scanned without readable text), a warning is shown before payment — we cannot process refunds for unprocessable files where that warning was displayed.
How to request a refund. Email [email protected]with your Paddle order reference (shown in your payment confirmation email) and a brief description of what went wrong. We aim to respond within five business days. Once approved, Paddle will return funds to your original payment method — typically within 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.
Chargebacks. Please contact us at [email protected] before filing a chargeback with your bank. We can usually resolve genuine issues faster than the chargeback process.
05Data and privacy
Contracts are processed in a private session and are never written to disk or stored in a database. They are discarded within 30 minutes of upload. We never retain your email address. For full detail, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
06Accuracy
We make no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any analysis produced by the service. AI models can miss nuance, misread unusual clause structures, or lack jurisdiction-specific depth. Treat every review as a well-informed first read, not a definitive legal opinion.
07Acceptable use
The service is provided for personal or internal business use only. You may not resell access to the service or its outputs, use it as the basis of advice given to others, or use it in any manner that would require regulated legal qualifications.
